Notes: A fan present recalls that Bruce walked through the crowd on both this and the previous night on the backs of chairs etc. during one part of the set.
Notes: The partial setlist details above are from an attendee recollection, with this sequencing probable but not definite. There were likely to have been 3 or 4 additional songs performed that are not in this setlist. THERE IS NO CIRCULATING
AUDIO FROM THIS SHOW. Thanks to Peter A.

Notes: As evidenced in the ticket, this concert was originally scheduled for 14/11/74 but then moved forward to 9/11/74. Part of a fairly chaotic scheduling period for Bruce that may have been caused by the well-documented problems involving the Born To Run LP recording sessions.

Notes: A fan present reports "Clarence invited us in for the soundcheck were they played She's The One, Love So Fine and
Jungleland. I had never seen any of these before and there only about 20 of us there, dancing. He played them during the show."
Notes: One show, held in Cassell Hall, with Bruce & The E Street Band the sole act on the bill. The 14-song setlist above represents the complete show. An audience tape (not widely circulating) exists with all tracks except the final two. Admission was free if you were a current student at the school - all others had to pay. Current evidence suggests this show included the E Street Band debut of Presley's "Wear My Ring", which would remain a semi-regular fixture during encores for the next three months.
A BRUCEBASE reader comments: "5 encores and Suki Lahav on a killer version of 'Jungleland' - the best rock show I've ever seen and the best of the 12 Springsteen shows I've seen from 1973 - 1996 - the show was so great it could have cured a terminal disease".
Another BRUCEBASE reader comments: "it was my first Bruce show and it blew me away. My main memory is one of the final encores, Bruce came out and gave his 'there are contenders, there are pretenders but there was only one King of rock 'n roll' - and proceeded into an Elvis medley during which he fell to the floor and did the horizontal Curly Shuffle, doing circles on the floor with leg kicks. Amazing, made me a fan for life"
Yet another BRUCEBASE reader comments: "it truly was a life-altering event. I ran back home to Philadelphia and drove to Trenton, NJ to the War Memorial show a few days later to see if what I had just witnessed was an aberration….and of course it wasn't. That was it for me". Notes: ONE show, with Springsteen & The E Street Band the sole act on the bill. New Jersey-based rocker John Eddie, whose gigs Springsteen would later make guest appearances at, has mentioned this Camden College show was the first time he saw Springsteen perform live, commenting: “that’s when I realized you could be theatrical and rock-and-roll, and not have to wear women’s clothing”.
22-Nov-1974 West Chester,PA West Chester College,USA
Notes: A fan present writes "The West Chester University show on Nov 22, 1974. A truly amazing show. I took a friend who only listened to classical music, couldn't stand rock and roll. She was blown away. Some guy named Jae Mason opened up and the crowd booed him. Bruce came out and asked the crowd to give him a break, because it wasn't so long ago when he was the opening act. Suki Lahav was with the band, Bruce wore a Triumph motorcycle t-shirt and black baggy pants. The rendition of Jungleland was the greatest moment in rock and roll history!"
Notes: ONE show, 8PM, with Springsteen & The E Street Band the sole act on the bill. Held in the sold-out, 800-seat SSC Auditorium. The above-mentioned 12-song setlist is taken from a circulating audience recording of average sound quality. “Saint In The City” features a rap over the coda (much like the one heard on the circulating studio outtake).
