Bruce made his first "real" post-tour public performance since July , at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park, joining Joe Grushecky and the Houserockers for a set to end the "Light of Day" benefit concert. Bruce took the stage two songs in Grushecky's set and played in some song songs.
This was Bruce's first appearance at the Stone Pony since October 17, 1995, when he also played with
Grushecky. The show was a benefit for the Parkinson's Disease Foundation and was organized by Bob Benjamin, who's birthday was also on Friday. So Bob had the kind of birthday party every Springsteen fan dreams of.
