Springsteen joined Patti Scialfa and her band (including Nils and Sooziel) for two songs. Patti was starting a five-city tour on the Asbury Park boardwalk. Bruce shared a mic with Nils, playing a 12-string Telecaster on "As Long As I (Can Be With You)" and taking an extended lead on "Love (Stand Up)." Patti's next stops are Boston, Philly, NYC, and L.A., and she told the people present that Bruce wouldn't be present on her next date (Boston) ( "I got kids to watch!", he said.)
