AND THE BAND PLAYED -- First press
Please note: the information
published on this page are gathered from the internet, books, or from collectors
writing me.
If you think the details I'm giving here are not correct, please share your thoughts
with me, using the e-mail address contrib@brucespringsteen.it
and correct any error I did, helping to build up a great reference site for all
the bruce collectors. If you have better photos than the ones I
collected about the item in question, you can send them in jpg format, ideal
size is 200 - 300K, I'll manage to cut and compose them.
Don't ask for more info
about the items, because I just publish what I get from collectors, I have no
items to check directly. Many photos come from the Brucebase
vinyl vault and/or Brucebase
studio boot, which are precious sources of information that you should
always use to integrate mine. Don't ask for information about buying or
exchanging the items described in this pages, the information you can find here
are for referential purpose only and you would get no response.
Notes:
For many years I (and othe sources) talked about three version of this record: the TSP051 version, the 3070 version, and the 3676 version, with the codes referring to the record matrix. They are actually only two version : infact the original has 3674 matrix on the spine, but the number is written very badly on the run-off vinyl area, and has been interpreted as 3070, 3676, 3674, or others. Also the b/w or colour cover has been a little misleading. The cover is monochrome but not b/w, infact it is more blue and white than black and white.
It was pressed on transparent red vinyl. Swingin' pig records labels even if Swingin' Pig name doesn't appear. Deluxe laminated cover with monochrome photo and red writings on. A scratched number appear near the '3674' in dead vax area.
Also pressed in m/c (classic m/c or even 'splash black and white') vinyl.
