Bruce makes yet another walk-in guest appearance with NORMAN SELDIN & THE JOYFUL NOYZE (featuring Clarence Clemons). Seldin and his band were booked for consecutive Fri-Sat shows here from June 16th thru July 8th. Although it’s clear Bruce was more than mildly interested in obtaining Clarence’s services, evidence suggests Bruce’s offer to Clarence to join his Greetings Tour band was still at least two months away.

A Fan writes "I was going through a friends Bruce collection and trying to date his early memorabilia. I found a hand made poster (I'm sure it's the only one to survive and it came from the box office of the theater. It's pretty amazing. It says "Bruce Springsteen in A Benefit Concert for George McGovern Wednesday July 5th 5pm. - at Cinema III Redbank $3 donation".
Now here's the amazing part...it also says "Also Including Regular Movie Show" That's right....Bruce did a benefit concert for then US Presidential candidate George McGovern in a movie theater and you got to see Bruce and the movie that was playing there at the time". Thanks Larry.
